If you’re going to a festival this summer, first of all you’re so lucky! As it’s guaranteed to be an awesome weekend, wherever you’re going! I thought I would just do a quick post about some tips for going to a festival. When I first went to Reading festival, I found the idea quite daunting, but it’s so much fun, I don’t know why I was worried!
Number 1: Have an awesome group of friends to go with. Half the time with festivals, it’s the people around you that make it amazing memories, and the lineup is like an added bonus! So don’t worry if you miss someone you like, just enjoy the atmosphere and the time you have living in a field! Ah memories…
number 2: You will definitely need a raincoat/mac/poncho – If you’re going to a festival in England it is pretty much guaranteed to rain. Sometimes you do get lucky, and I’m hoping that this year Parklife, will be a very close resemblance of Coachella, but let’s be honest – especially in Manchester. As long as it’s warm, I’m never too bothered. And sometimes the rain can definitely add to the enjoyment, sometimes!
Number 3: Camera – my choice would be a disposable, mainly because I don’t trust myself with anything else. But a camera non the less is essential! I love the way pictures look from disposable cameras, and instant polaroid ones. But disposable ones are cheaper!
number 4: Dry shampoo and wet wipes – Going 4 days without a shower is okay as long as you have some sort of substitute. Wet wipes are dry shampoo will you keep you going – and don’t forget deodorant! You might also want to take a little bottle of febreeze with you, if you have room. To keep your tent smelling fresh, and your clothes.
Number 5: Snacks! Food is quite expensive sometimes at festivals, so to save some money you could even take a portable grill to cook some sausages on for meals. But at least take something for breakfast every morning!
If you’re going to a festival this summer, I hope you get some inspiration and help from this post, and I hope you have an awesome time!
