How I can afford Clinique Makeup on a Student Budget

Clinique shimmering stripes powder blusher – £5.99

If you’ve ever had the money to afford Clinique Makeup you’ll know how amazing each one of they’re products are. I love Clinique, it’s amazing quality it’s just a shame it’s so darn expensive! But never fear, I have found a way! I first found this product in my mum’s make up bag, kindly been donated to me! It’s a sample size product, but wait… it has lasted me so long! At least a year. The powder is so pigmented you don’t need to use much at all, which makes it last so long. I use this for contouring on my cheeks, the lightest powder is great to highlight your cheek bones, and on your brow bone. The middle stripe looks like it would be quite rosy, which I was slightly worried about, as the last one I had was in 03 Almond Blossom, and this one is 01 peony. However, it comes out really nice, as you can see in the picture it contours under the cheekbone perfectly, and the shade is really natural. The last stripe I don’t use as much, but in the Almond Blossom it was quite pink so I used it as normal blusher. You could use this one for that as well, or as a deeper colour for contouring. I’ve been wearing the powder all day, and it’s still clearly on my face and still doing the job!

The only thing that I don’t like about this product is that the stripes are quite difficult to get to individually, as you have to squish your brush into a thin line. And the powder goes everywhere! I’ve tried to find a bigger pot of this product, but have had no luck. But I think this size lasts long enough, and is so cheap. It’s on Amazon for £5.99, which is cheaper than some blushers in Boots, with Max Factor costing £6.99.
