Brilliant, indolent Dilyn spent years hiding his power as an Omega He doesn t want to bond to an Alpha, doesn t want to lose control of his life, or his gift But when called upon by his Alpha to do something useful, Dilyn reluctantly travels to a strange pack in order to Heal a dangerously injured new wolf Gwyr promises he won t try and bond the Omega to him But resolve flees when he sees the snarky young wolf for the first time His wolf knows they were meant to be together but Gwyr can t break his word And Healing his son, Tanner, is important than convincing a skittish Omega that he is worth the risk.
Dilyn does not believe that a mate bond is worth giving up his freedom for, especially when too many Alphas will take away everything he wants He is unprepared to feel the pull toward Gwyr Gwyr has lost before and is not willing to force Dilyn to accept their mating bond, even if it weakens him when his pack needs him at full strength.

5Hmmm, simplistic and rushed but not all together bad Characters seemed to make instant, unprovoked changes in attitudes and the bit at the end, about dragons, seemed irrelevant probably for a future book.
My main problem with this, however, was the way Dilyn was forced into something he didn t want It s clear from beginning to end that he doesn t want to mate, but he s forced to anyway And I simply couldn t believe that love was supposed to have developed making it all ok in theory when the whole danger to Dilyn in the first place was that ANY ALPHA WOULD BE ATTRACTED TO ANY OMEGA AND TRY TO CLAIM HIM, which suggests to me that there was nothing any special between him and Gwyr that any other alpha and omega, no matter how hard the author tried to pretend that the world she set up didn t work the way she set it up Oh, and there is no Mpreg in it It s labeled as an M M Gay Shifter Mpreg Romance.
Yes I got sidetracked w other books but I finally got back to this one It was too short As i get into the second book, it appears that maybe they could have been combined into one Anyway, so far I am really like these guys and this story You have an Omega that doesn t want to mate bond w an Alpha because his touch can be used as a weapon and therefore he can be used in politics if mated to the wrong type of Alpha But the Gwyr is the most sweet and patient alpha I have ever read Normally they are all mine mine mine I don t care what you think At one point he even lets Dilyn leave to show that he isn t going to be an over bearing ass Anyway, off to the next book.
Could Have Been BetterThe one star is for a good plot However, there were a lot of things in this book that made me want to just give up on it There was too much cussing in places that it was not needed Also, I felt as though the characters were pressuring the main character and the mention of dragons was a little odd, but I guess it fits with the story Yet, my biggest issue with this book is that there is way too much swearing It got annoying after a while because the words were unnecessary and it kind of dampened the story line There were minor errors, nothing too big that were reasonable Overall, I enjoyed the plot but not the writing style of the book.
There be dragons An alpha and omega series with a developed storyline than usual.
Dylin an omega who wants partnership not dominance and is willing to hold out for such a relationship is sent to help out another pack with his healing powers.
Here he finds his mate He also finds himself in the midst of a war with dragons.
Dylin needs to see what he has found in Gwyr as well as demonstrating his own powers when dealing with enemies.
The two central protagonists have a fun dynamic and I am waiting for book 2 as I don t trust the dragons.
I ve never been into fantasy or paranormal reading in any form Curiosity led me to start reading shifter romances I ve only read a few but this one had me laughing Sarcastic, quick witted Dilyn has an independent streak that constantly gets him in trouble Whether it s his I don t care what anyone thinks , or his lack of understanding in relation to how a wolf pack operates, his antics kept me engaged in the story.
This was a short quick that I liked Dilyn spent years hiding his power as an Omega He doesn t want to bond to an Alpha, doesn t want to lose control of his life, or his gift But when called upon by his Alpha to do something useful, Dilyn reluctantly travels to a strange pack in order to Heal a dangerously injured new wolf Gwyr promises he won t try and bond the Omega to him But resolve flees when he sees the snarky young wolf for the first time His wolf knows they were meant to be together but Gwyr can t break his word And Healing his son, Tanner, is important When Dilyn runs away he comes up on a young dragonette who attacks and although the Beta has followed him he uses his touch to put deadly poison into the dragonette who is now slowly dying The Alpha Gwyr knows that the bond between him Gwyr is growing and he is finding it harder and harder to stay away from him This was a good story that had wolves and dragon s and a reluctant Omega with the power to kill I love reading about paranormal M M and hot Alpha males This book did has a couple of missed spelled words but nothing major that would stop a reader from enjoying the story I am looking forward to reading book two.

5 rounded upInteresting take on the role of Omegas I ve seem some stories of Omegas being able to heal but not any who were able to harm The formation of the mate bond was envisioned differently as well While I didn t like his name what kind of name is Gwyr how do you pronounce that I liked Gwyr s character not just the standard overbearing, overprotective Alpha Dilyn s snark and sass were a definite high point in the novel the author was able to give us so much of the flavor of the character through both his internal and external dialogue His frustration was easy to relate to who wants to be a pawn or constantly under suspicion Who would want to tie themselves to the standard Alpha The relationship, by necessity of other things in the plot, has to develop quickly but I wished there could have been a slower, organic evolution The sex is hot this is Wolf Specter after all with plenty of sexual tension otherwise Not my favorite of Specter s books but still a darn good read.
